Does anyone know if I need to upgrade the rear calipers on my 1.8T Elegance if I want to fit vRS 256mm vented discs instead of the 232mm solid discs currently on there? I deffo need new discs and pads but would prefer the bigger discs to fill the 17" wheels a bit better, but if I need new calipers to do this I might just get the smaller ones.

You will need everything to fit 256mm rear brakes it's not just a case of going for larger discs.

Just stick will the original ones as they don't do much anyway.

If you decide to go for the upgrade then make sure you get the brakes off a fwd car as the 256mm rears off a 4wd will need some sort of spacers.
