So long as they're standard euro size they should I believe you still have to put a screw through the plate with those holders.

yes you put screw through number plate which by this point you have sat in the number plate surround which goes through the surround and screwed to the car.

Put some on the Octi vRS the other day

Personally I think the surrounds with the hinged section at the bottom are better for presed plates - the plate slides into position and is then "clamped", avoiding the need to drill it.
