Fabia Wing Mirrors?

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me? I posted a request for help ages ago, no one replied.

I want to know if I can place wing mirrors with integral indicators on my fab estate elegance and if so is it a DIY job?

also as a new boy to both owning a skoda and on this site could anyone advise me if a Furby is another name for the fabia? hope so it sounds magic almost.......... mythical...ahhh! so cute.

Cheers

FabDaz

Yup Furby is another name for Fabia, with regard to the mirrors not too sure mate sorry :D

welcome to the site! First question I cannie not help with but furby is the pet name for the fabia.

I'd be interested myself if this might work, I was thinking that maybe the mirrors from the new Octivia might fit the fabia. Though they might need some minor mods.

cheers all I will try to Look more closely at the wing mirror situation and let everyone know

Sure if one could trace the wire going to the side indicators, it could surely be tapped into and a 2 into 1 could feed the side indicator AND an indicator on the side of a wing mirror - not sure how it would work splitting the voltage though...? Would it make each one half as bright as normal?

Not tempted to do this myself to be honest - I got indicators on the front, side and back anyway. :D;)

100% you can put the indicator / wing mirror doo dahs on a fabia - i have a brochure at home - But yes you can! I was going to do it on mine

How would you need to spray them? Surely it's possible to get colour coded mirrors that fit on?

Was anyone else expecting these mirrors to be fitted to the facelifted Fabia? I half expected it as a cost cutting measure as it must be cheaper to buy all the mirrors if they are the same type rather than half with and half without the indicators.

i aint got the magazine n e more - but i was reading demon tweeks mag last week - they had them in there to fit a fabia, but obviously needed spraying to your car colour. Someone who went to trax must have a copy of the mag that they were giving away free by some lovely ladies!!!. If n e one does find it... please let me know the price. My mrs must have binned the mag!

Are the Mirrors that need sparaying from Demon Tweeks The M3 BMW type?

I think I want the ones that are on the golf MK5 does anyone know if they will fit?

I have also found some stick on LED indicator strips that may work and they are only

I've seen one at my local dealer a couple of weeks after I got mine - About last christmas.

Since then I haven't seen another, and there is no reference in the ETOS parts catalogue.

Right,

I've just contacted the dealer where i saw them, and they are not a skoda fit.

They are a retro fit stick on LED panel, supposily available from mill autos.

Skoda to not do an indicator mounted in the wing mirrors for the fabias.

I hope this helps.
