Alloy wheels will they fit?????

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im looking at buying some alloy wheels from a 1998 audi A3.

All the information i have from the wheels is 6.5J x 16H2, ET24 5/100, 5 stud with offset angle of 42.

I have the standard 14" 6J steel wheels on my 2001 (51 plate) fabia estate.

Im wondering if they will fit without modifications.

If this makes any sense to anyone please could you let me know.

many thanks

:)

Yep should pop straight on.

If i remeber correctly the ET on my wheels are 40, so that would be the only thing that would concern me. If you can, stick one on the front and do a lock to lock test and ensure theres no rubbing.

Having an ET of 24 will mean they will be further in under the arch than standard, and might catch the wheel liner.

The ET will be because the wheel is only a 6.5" rim.

yes i just had them exact wheels fiited to my car off the 1998 A3

lock to lock there is a slight touch but not noticed it yet the tyres are 205/55/16 so maybe some lower profile and they'l be perfect

not somethin much but an issue never the less my rear passenger wheel was a bout a mil from the inner arch plastic but i just got a knife an took off about an inch an hey presto

Yeah, wrong profile there.
