That's a good job for a 'novice'!

Mate that looks fab!

nothing beats the look of a squeaky clean black car, bet your dreading using it now...lol

yep agreed looking very well in the pics... looks like you've a sealant applied, with the highly reflective type of finish, and sharp edges... am not sure whether you have or not, but top job there

stick around here, and the many great detailing posts by Mr. Baker21 and you will go from strength to strength

Thats a seriously nice finish mate, any details on what you used?

oh just thought i would add, if you aren't allready then seriously consider using the two bucket method of washing... that is the one thing i changed to doing along with a wash mitt that really did make a hell of a difference  which led people not in the know about detailing to always ask if i'd polished or waxed it (it makes that much of a difference!)

PS Baker mate would you have agreed with my thoughts on it possibly being sealed ie. the sharper more reflective finish (just seeing if i'am picking things up correctly)

It could well be mate or some layering of waxes to be honest? Let's see what he comes back and says but either way it looks pretty impressive..........

Hi Folks

Thanks for the feedback but i cant take all the credit ive had the car approx a year and when i got it had the usual scratch/swirl/hologram marks on it at this time i didnt have the knowledge or skill the sort this out so after a look on internet i found Micheal at Just Waxed (have a look at his web siteJust Waxed) he is good.

So last September he came to my house and just like Baker21 he worked his magic on the car and spent 16hrs doing so.

He did use a sealant and then put one coat of p21s on the car.(dont know what sealant used)

Since then i have put a further 2 coats of p21s and 5 coats of colly 476.

This is how i wash it .

1/Wet it with power washer

2/Using a mixture of ph neutral snow foam and megs hyperwash in the foam lance i cover the car .

3/Then rinse the car using power washer

4/Thereafter use two buckets both with grit guards and two seperate microfibre mits one bucket and mit for below door trim and one for above

To wash it i use megs shampoo+

5/Then rinse with hose

6/I then dry the car using a waffle towel and megs quick detailer.

7/I then go over it with megs last touch(although i now have Dodo juice red mist but havent had a chance to use it yet).

To do the wheels i use megs wheel brightener and the tyres i use poorboys boldnbright.

I have recently scratched the wheel arch up the side of a yellow concrete pillar and the only way i could get the yellow paint of it was to use wet and dry to remove it the buff it back up my heart was in my mouth but it worked.

Hope soon swmbo permitting to have my own detailing buff and kit to have a go at it

Once again thanks very much for looking and thank god the salt is off the road now only need to wash it once a week rather the three

snap with the red mist, and snap again as i havent tried it as yet either...

looks like you are well educated in the art of detailing, and am quite pleased i managed to pick up on the fact you may have had a sealant applied ;)

keep up the good work is all i could possibly say
