Help Fabis Vrs Red Warning Light by the Ful Light

Featured Replies

when im driving i notice a red warning light flicker on and off just above the fuel empty light, ive been to skoda and they say there isnt a light there, but its deffinately there, it comes on every now and again, has anyone had this problem? and if so what is it please?(the car is a standard fabia vrs)

Could be the switch that tells you when a rear seat in down.

Have a look behind the drivers side rear seat and see if the switch brings the light on, could just need a clean,

Just had a daft Idea. If you don't know what the red warning light means, then why don't you R.T.F.M.

Come on Jim, that's not helpful - OP did say he'd been to the stealers.

Hello,

Have you made a mental note where the light appears/is, and just turn the ignition switch "ON" and see if the light is now visible? and identify it?

As said, go round the car, opening and closing doors/ dropping rear split seat forward etc to make this light appear?

Is the light definitely " RED" ??

On my Fabia VRS 2005, the only panel warning lights between the fuel and water temperature gauges, is the "GREEN" dipped headlight warning light and "BLUE" full beam warning light.

There are no other warning lights in that vicinity, checking Skoda manuel and Haynes manuel revels the same descision.

The only other lights (which are not clearly visible) are the panel/gauges illumination lights, what colour does your facia light up? it probably is a tinted colour?

Keep trying you'll find out soon enough, post your findings here, good-luck.

if dash lights are flickering the battery or alternator could be on their way out

That would be my diagnosis.
