Turbo intake pipe

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a silicone turbo intake pipe. My problem is that I have a K04 turbo and a S3 MAF.

I asked Forge motorsport about it and they recommended this item, but obviously don't know if it will fit. They said its MAF connection is 68mm and the turbo connection is 51mm.

My questions are:

1. If anyone here has a similar setup (K04 + S3 MAF), do you know if this hose fits?

2. Does anyone know what the dimensions of the standard VRS hose are?

3. In the link to the item there's also a picture. Do you think the ports for whatever other stuff (ESP, N75 etc) fit on the VRS?

I'll obviously look under the hood myself today, but I'd rather have some expert advice as well. Also, since my current hose is cracked just at the MAF connection I'm a little reluctant to take it off yet again, afraid the crack will advance :(

Thanks!

hi mate

yes that is the TT, LCR, S3 225 TIP.

due to the location of the K04 on the car it is slightly diff shape. think it is the same amount of holes in it.

can I ask what pipes you usin now?

take it its the MAF and hoses from the S3/TT/LCR?

if it is then this will be the same.

can I ask, what power you gettin from ur setup? and has it cost mucho dinero? to do the conversion?

cheers

I'm using a normal rubber pipe. I don't know if it's the VRS one or the S3 one because I didn't do the mods, previous owner did. However, the hose is ruptured at MAF connection, it might be because it's smaller and it was forced on.

On the receipt I have from the tuner (from 2002) it says 240-260 bhp and the cost was 5500 euro.

I measured the existing rubber hose, 80mm at the MAF connection. The MAF itself is about 78mm. Now hopefully I can get a silicone one, fit it and get rid of the lean mixture CEL that appeared again today :(
