what a funny day i've had

Featured Replies

i spent 2 hours last night washing and vacuuming my 56 mk1 fabia cause i was going to the dealers this afternoon to look at a newer car but bringing my monthly repayments down.

got in my car this morning at 6.30 and it wouldn't start, the battery was dead so had to call the RAC and my work to book a day off, then took it down to the dealer for them to have a look at.the nice lady at the desk said they could have a look at it but not till this afternon and they didn't have a loan car for me.

so i thought as well see a salesman and 2 hours later i was the new owner of a Fabia 2 57 Reg 1.2 12v 13,000 miles for £7000.

i'm saving £50 per month so i'm well happy.

i pick it up next Tuesday.

ps will my current McGard wheel locking nuts fit my new car ?

Congratulations :)

Did you drive it first?

Good engine choice as you know, go steady with the extra 6BHP ;)

yeh i gave it a test drive but the sales guy went with me.the only downside is, it was a rental car but all 4 tyres are Bridgestone and are like new and the pad's look new as well (2 tyres on mine current car are just legal and the pad's need changing ,so saving me money).

Sounds good , nice monthly saving as well! What colour is it??

Hi

Very nice, myparents got ther 09 fab 2 1.2i two weeks ago, it is a good car :D I bet your looking forwards to getting it :D

Nice buy mate and nice colour :D

Nice one James, and don't worry about it being an ex-rental car. I've had many of them in the past and it makes no difference. Modern cars...especially Skoda's, are tough as old boots and can take anything anyone throws at them! Sorry, but don't know if your wheel locking nuts will fit.

picked my car up this aft only the rain was the negative bit.it's really roomy and the drive is pretty good.

i was going to use my old seat covers for the new car until i saw the 'AIRBAG' tags on the front seats,i didn't know it had side airbags !!

i now have to find some cheap GAP insurance and get cheaper payment protection for my car finance.

overall very happy and looking forward to the weekend !!!

Hi Mate

Hows the new car ?? Great I hope :D

i've had 2 mk1 fabia's before this one,the difference is amazing !!!

so yeh i love it

Daughter had a 1.2 ....at a rolling road day we all egged her on to put it on the rollers ....result = supposed to be 70 bhp ...actually 80bhp :D

I'm getting a mark 1 fabia and I think I regret it because the build is more solid on the mark one (e.g. doors feel heavier and materials more solid). The mark one feels more planted on the road but the mark 2's steering feels lighter. I think Skoda have cut costs in making the mark 2. Basically build quality doesn't feel as solid to me.

i had my car booked in with DPN Professional Car Valeting in July to give my car it's 1st proper wash (ex rental so i guess never been looked after) but a few passing birds decided to make my car a toilet so out came the cleaning gear.
