Small Annoyances

Featured Replies

Had my Superb for 10 days now and almost everything is perfect apart from 4 irritating things.

1) The centre console pop out tray thingy will not close! It pushes too but doesn`t catch. Hence anything I put in it vibrates like hell.

2) The passanger seat belt rubs against the leather seat giving a really annoying squeek!

3) The folding mirrors are not automatic, thats to say I need to remember to close them before I open the driver door, and to open them before i set off.

4) I keep catching the key fob in my pocket causing all the windows to open !!

Try holding down your lock button on the remote a bit longer and the mirrors should fold in

Jam a piece of cardboard in it. It will be permantly closed though

I'm suffering similar problem too. Something is broken inside and the lock mechanism does not function. My approach of solving this is also a cardboard stucked between the opening and that keeps it closed enough (and can be opened by pulling the little cardboard thingy too)

I've tried to dismantle it too to figure out what's causing this but fear of breaking something is much more than the success rate so far

That doesn't work on the Superb 1.

Isnt a third party module required for that to work like the auto reflex modules?

I would guess the answer at yes. I have folding mirrors on mine, but have to select the 'fold' option on the switch before getting out the car. I have tried leaving the mirror switch in the L and R position, and locking the car (holding the key button for longer) and the mirrors do NOT move.

I know this can be done on the Superb 2, but the computer / multi function display in the Superb 1 is very basic compared to that of the Superb 2.

The only access you have to the computer on the multi function display is if you press the bottom of the rocker switch, that you select between MPG / Range / Driving time etc, and the display then gives you the following options - TRIP COMPUTER / CAR STATUS / NAVIGATION / DISPLAY OFF.
