Citroen Lomax 224 Sports

Beautiful and ugly, eco warrior and sporty, all in one.

I assume from the videos that this is a kit car version of the original, running on 2 CV internals

Nick

How can it be an 'eco-warrior' if it uses a 2CV engine, one of the nastiest and most polluting pieces of dross ever ? I always used to chuckle when I saw 2CV's with some beardy eco-mentalist tofu-sandal wearing deluded whinging tosspot in one, usually decorated with Greenpeace and CND stickers.

2 CV - Only something the French could dream up .( and make in a garden shed )

And the only people daft enough to buy them - some beardy eco-mentalist tofu-sandal wearing deluded winging British toss pot ( who spends his spare time in a garden shed):eek:

The 2CV was eco in certain ways, for example every single part of the car could be replaced. If the chassis rusted out they just lifted the car up, took the old one off and put the new one on.

All very simple and saves scrapping and building a new car. That plus they were actually pretty economical and the engines no more polluting than any others from the time.

Yea. Tell it as it is.

I presume then, no sale on on the body work too ?

I feel I have to make another damning admissionon this forum. I must have caught citroen flu or something, 'cause I was looking on the web, over the weekend, at Citroen H vans and their potential to make a walk-through camper-van ! and admiring their honest-to-good simplicity. Am I in need of help ?
