Been recommended Boston Acoustics

Featured Replies

I've just been down to the guys who have done my last 5 ICE installs in my last 5 cars and they're really pushing Boston Acoustics now and have suggested the following:

with a couple of pairs of these (front and rear)

Anyone used these before, they're quite pricey and the quoted figures arent that impressive but I suspect they're just being more realistic than other manufacturers!

They're going to do me a deal on fitting that lot along with my new Kenwood 9027, Kenwood Keg and my long standing Hifonics sub amp (with a solarbaric square to follow in a few months ;))

i really rate the boston range and even tho they look less power for your

bang on the money Joel!

Boston gear has a good rep, but listen to them first . .. You will be amazed how different speakers can sound on a stand then in a car. I bought some Polk audio comps, sounded sweet on the stand but honked in my car! Swapped them out for some Focal polyglass slims, amazing difference! Really easy on the ear, but still a cold sound, just as I like it!

Be carefull with the sub, you can easily over do the bass these days and totally **** the sound up!

I've got Boston components in the front of my Octy, I'm pleased with them, sound better than the standard speakers :D .

I got mine from HERE

I personally wouldn't bother with the rear comps if its going in a small hatchback, you will mess up your sound stage, and the money you save spend on some better quality front comps.

Not really heard any Boston Gear, so cannot comment but believe them to be ok, I myself for that sort of budget would probably sway towards Focals as they are very very good.

What you have to bare in mind, alot of ICE dealers do force products on you depending on there mark up they can make on them. If you cannot install ICE yourself get a few different quotes before committing.

id install it for you..if need be..

save you some

I've got a Boston Amp and I love it to bits.

It makes a mockery of my old Rockford Amp unfortunately (and I thought that sounded good at the time!)

I've just got the GT-20 as I only need it to power my front components.

I've heard the Boston Pro 6.5" Components and they sound awesome too!
