Help please! Wiring required for Felicia SLXI 1.6

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I hope that someone can help. I'm looking for the wiring loom for a SLXI. We had the joy of fitting a stereo to the ISO connector of the SLXI we bought only to find that 10 secs later the car was filled with sparks and smoke! Looks as though there was a bare wire running from the main loom into the fuse box for some reason. Not sure if it's just the stereo part of the loom that needs replacing or if the rest of the wiring loom has also been damaged until we pull the dashboard off. Everything else seems to work ok though.

Any ideas where I can get the wiring or is anyone breaking a felicia? Tried main dealers but no joy, hence the request.

Cheers

Emma

Get the glovebox out and get the fusebox off the hinge. You should be able to see most of the loom then. Other than that an auto electrician will deal with this sort of thing day in day out and should be able to sort it for not too much money.

Agree with anewman here

Unless you know your way with electrics it might be best letting an auto electrician handle rewiring.

Many thanks guys

I'm unable to have a look myself as his SLXI has twin airbags so will have to remove the dash for a looksee.

Thanks for the advice though.

Twin airbags!!!!

My Felly only had a drivers bag

SLXi is top of the range. Electric mirrors, windows, and I believe some have air con :)

two change the loom it's a dash out job anyway

Wish mine worked though..... :rotz:

Not sure if you have found a loom yet, but this is being broken for spares: HERE
