Question regarding stereo and facia panels

Featured Replies

Hi all

This is what my Dash looks like (I haven't picked car up yet though) I am looking for a facia panel with 2 slots as looking to place a Pioneer head unit in as well as Radio Equipment. Does anyone know where I can get a Panel with 2 slots??

The OEM Skoda kit provides a single DIN slot and similar sized cubby hole...

As said, use the Skoda item as it comes with the correct leads to convert it from CAN-BUS to the ISO connectors needed. Also has an adaptor in for the aerial, which will need a power point taking to it.

If it is anything like mine, the Skoda kit will tell you to take a wire to the fuse box to get the live needed for aftermarket stereos. I just took mine through the bulkhead and direct to the fuse box under the bonnet.

This lot will cost you around £60, but it gives a lot better finish than the aftermarket ones that cost £20 or so and don't have any wiring adaptors.

You'll also need to spray thr surround as the kit only comes in black. I did mine 18 months ago and it is still looking factory silver. :)
