Hi

New to this forum having trouble with my 14 16v fabia. most times will start fine but occasionally turns over and will not start not gone down the checking for fuel or spark yet but it will eventually start if you keep on winding the starter motor continously for about 25 seconds. Put a fault code reader on nothing shows. Any ideas before I start looking in deep!

Also, If the car seems to be running fine once started, with no black smoke on ignition and also no "build up" of revs whilst trying to start it could be the relay that powers up the fuel pump..

I had both these starting problems on my last Fabia.

In fact, it's because of the relay that I have the vRS I have now... not because that's what made me decided to change (though, it was).. but because the day I was due to view a silver vRS I couldn't get there as my Elegance wouldn't start... I took the train to view the black vRS I have now.. It was like my last car knew which one i should get.
