Octavia front door speakers

Featured Replies

Hi All

I'am looking to change the sound system, items that I took out of my focus. But the front speakers do not fit, due to the depth of the speakers, and the design of the window mech inside the door.

Is there any way around this, other then small speakers that will not sound as good, or modified door cards.

Any ideas

Mark

What Car do you have MK1 or MK2

Generally if the Window mechanism is in the way then you will probably find you need to use smaller speakers. Doesn't necessarily mean they will sound bad. You may just have to pay a bit more to get a decent speaker

I have a MK1 VRS, and I all ready have very good speakers, but its looking like I need to get the door builds done, to use the speakers.

I fitted infinity 6.5's in mine but the magnet hits on the frame of the door.... so the door card doesn't go perfectly back on... custom door pockets and cards might be the only option after that unless you go for some posh un's... rears are just 5.25's and straight forward enough :)

You can get some very nice speakers that will fit in a Mk1 - I had some lovely Kenwoods - but they do need to be very shallow which tends to cost a lot more when combined with good sound.

Infinity do some shallow components whichh you can get online for £85 :)
