Fabia vRS cambelt & water pump change

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I now have 47,000 miles on a 54 plate car and I think I am now in need of a Cambelt/Waterpump change.

I have phoned my local skoda dealer who want £570. However, I phoned National Autocentres who quoted £360 all in.

Is that a good price? Seems good to me but I just wanted to check what other people have paid for this job.

Thanks,

Tony

Is that including the service and MOT as well mate.

I'm due to take my car in for a service and MOT and mine has the same sort of miles as yours on a 05 plate and I was advised the belt might not need to be changed as the 50k service is just a fluid change, National price sounds good through.

i paid a LOT less than £570 when i had mine done, and that was with all genuine parts

I was advised the belt might not need to be changed

Thought the belt had to be changed every 4 years?

As a guide I usually charge £300 for a cambelt, tensioner and water pump change on a Fabia vRS.
