Test driven Octavia kombi 1.4TSI & BMW 5 series 2.0 diesal

Featured Replies

Recently I test drove the octavia 1.4 TSI octavia station wagon and engine is really very refined driving at 140 KM/H, I measured the internal noise level at 70.5 dB(A). While BMW 2.0 diesal (520d) had 68 dB(A) at similar speed and on the same stretch of road.

Skoda octavia only suffer with road and wind noise but engines are quite good.

mine BMW 325i and Octavia RS 2.0TFSI kombi's have 68.5 dB(A) and 70.3 dB(A) respectively with rest of the factors keeping the same.(same stretch of road & at 140KM/h)

I live in Switzerland and roads are quite good comapred to England.
