Octavia Rear Rattle cured

Featured Replies

Had an anoying rattle which appeared to be coming from the rear door but only aparent at speeds over 60. Took the car for a quick blast yesterday to dry it after washing, clear dual carriageway so took it flat. (they get quicker as they get some miles on!!) Rattle seemed worse coming back & when I got home the rear wheel arch liner had become detatched at the front & was flapping in the wind. Since re-fixing it the rattle has gone so it must have been loose for some time

Posted just in case others have similar problems.

Another thing to be aware of for our diesel brethren is the plastic tray under the engine (sound insulation?). Mine came loose and was rubbing on the ground above certain speed...ahem let's just say aound the legal limit.;)

Anyway nothing a cable tie couldn't cure.

Cheers.

Adrian.
