cheap door siils needed

Featured Replies

been looking for cheap plastic door sill covers for my car.cheapest so far are found on ebay (£25).

anywhere else i get them cheaper ?

That sounds OK but sometimes the cheap ones end up costing twice as much, my first set were unifix ones very smart but just not enough adhesive and they kept lifting. Ended up getting the Fabia ones in the end. It is worthing seeing just how much sticky stuff holds them down?

Get the black plastic ones from Skoda, they are cheap and original (for best fit), here is the Roomster ones, they are almost same with Fabia except the name...

I bought the Fabia ones off e bay and they have been fine, never moved.

i got the stainless ones from skoda but after 2 sets i have a felling the arent stainless steal as they rust!

That was a reason I bought the all plastic ones. They dont look as good as the stainless steel ones but they dont rust.

colour code them, paint the insets

I would have thought colour coding would have defeated the object! Stopping scratches...

Did you get the fixing templates at all? In my fitting instructions, it says put the enclosed templates in place, draw a pencil line and fix the sills to the lines.... No templates! Also, the quality of plastic leaves a lot to be desired, although the pictures of them fitted makes them look more durable, almost rubbery. Got mine for around 15 quid delivered.

BLAST! I just noticed how old this post is!

Still, may be relevant to somebody!

Did you use templates to fit themthen, or just line them up yourself?

I fitted without a template, fairly easy and they look good.
