Rear Fabia vRS spoiler

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Any body know how the rear spoiler on the vRS is attached,

i have had mine stolen today and am just left with the silicon / adhesive on the boot lid

and does anyone know the cost of a brand new one from Skoda

Thanks

Rob

Thats terrible that someone has done that to your car, really sorry to hear that mate.

The fact you have no bolt holes I would guess that it is simply bonded on using something like tiger seal, if you are buying a new one from Skoda they will probably sell the adhesive that goes with it I guess.

Not sure on the price, but a couple on the bay breaking:

SKODA FABIA VRS 2003 53 REG 35K BREAKING FOR SPARES on eBay, also, Skoda, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-May-09 08:50:04 BST)

SKODA fabia 07 vrs tdi ENGINE BLT 10 X FUSES BREAKING on eBay, also, Audi, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 13-May-09 19:55:56 BST)

thats not so good mate, might be a idea to take it to a bodyshop and get them to drill into the top of the boot lid and have the spoiler glued and bolted into place, I had that problem with my last car that the bonding agent never stuck so my local bodyshop bonded it back on and bolted it on.

Hope this helps

mother ****ers!!! proper ****es me off this!! hope you get it sorted soon fella!

Really sorry to hear about this! Really didn't think this went on with Fabias, Escorts & Nova's yeah, but not Fabias! Just wouldn't have thought the demand was there.

Just keep an eye out for a Boggo Fabia in your area with a vRS spoiler in the wrong/your colour, and investigate how loose it is ;)

What's your insurance situation?

just have a nice scuff mark on the boot surround where they have jammed what looks like a knife or blade under to prise it off..... the worst being it was done in a main shopping centre multi storey, have left all the details i.e time, location and reg but they say that in the outside roof area there is no cctv,

dunno about insurance yet going get a couple of quotes and take it from there,

have mailed the two on ebay, one has gone and still waiting on the other....

i have never had any trouble with my fabia i.e being targeted and i didnt think that they were THAT desirable that parts had to be stolen,

and i didnt think that they were THAT desirable that parts had to be stolen,

Me neither, but I guess as the early low spec models fall below £1000 and the Skoda Stigma continues to be a thing of the past more people will get them as first cars and will want to do things to them in a Vauxhall Nova Kinda way ;)
