Octavia Single DIN Adaptor

Featured Replies

I am going to fit an Alpine HU to my 07 Octavia. Obviously I will need some sort of single DIN adaptor to replace the Stream - am I better off getting this from Skoda direct or are there third party manufacturers? Any rough ideas on price?

Do these adaptors allow you to choose whether the new HU occupies the top or bottom slot or do they default to one or the other?

Many thanks

I've the Skoda manufactured one in my Octy and it looks the part - from what I've seen of the 3rd party ones they look somewhat low rent. It came with the ISO adapter lead and the HU will only fit into the top of the unit. The bottom is a small shelf with a rubber mat.

Can't recall what I paid mind you - something makes me think about 50 quid but not sure. Glad I forked out for it. Only 'problem' is that the adapter is purely a wiring loom and not a canbus adapter so the stereo is only powered when the ignition is on, unlike the Stream which can be used with or without ignition.

Do Skoda do a double DIN adapter thing??

Looking at a new HU in one and 2-way Radio thing in the other?
