I aint no mechanic but I think something is wrong with my steering column because it makes an awful noise occasionally when turning but only at low speeds, 3rd gear and beyond is fine? Now I had a turbo back custom exhaust fitted about 4 months ago but this has only been happening in the last 3 weeks or so so I don't think its related or could it be?

Sure it's not a joint or bearing rather than the column
