170 diesel vibrations through the armrest

Featured Replies

Anyone else noticed vibrations coming through the armrest when cruising ???

Nope can't say I have, I have a couple of 5 hr drives next week, will keep an eye on it.

Nope. No vibrations here, and I've had mine for nearly 7 months now, so I'd have noticed.

Get the dealer to balance the wheels.

I made a specific point after reading your posting to check it out. With 10000+ miles I can report no vibrations at all on my 170cr and silky smooth. The point made by Superbia in regards to balancing the wheels is a good suggestion.:)

make sure you get all 4 wheels balanced - rears often get missed and this will cause vibration throught your seat and armrest. I had a vibration when i first got mine - rear tyres were slightly eliptical and this is what caused it. got better with age as the tyres wore round and got even better when I swapped to 16" wheels and new tyres !

Smooth all the way there and back again.

Well it is a diesel so you have to accept the heavier noises from them, only other things I can think of if there is indeed a fault is a mounting or the exhaust isn't fitted right.

Have you tried emptying the centre console, it could just be an item you are carrying doing it.

nothing in the centre console , and we already have a pd170 octy and this is far from my first diesel
