Fitted the pipe and trumpet into my VRS no problem. Now when I look into the pipe through the trumpet i can see a gap between the trumpet holder and the trumpet where im parnoid air may be escaping at the bottom, not sure if this gap was there before i fitted the new pipe but i reckon it was because i'm having no problems with it. Anyway if anyone could reassure me that the gap is meant to be there then that would be great, if i havent explained it well, then i will take some pics.

Also while im here, I have a pd130 pipe and trumpet funnily enough which has done 33,000 miles, open to offers. Thanks

Yeah, I noticed the same thing when I fitted mine, big gap at the bottom. Thought that this would mean less airflow at the time I fitted, but now I think its supposed to be like that.

Yeh, i reckon it doesnt matter as the pipe is pulling air in, will need to find a standard one to look at to be sure.

I suppose the standard PD130 one has a gap to let air into the engine bay as well, so this one will not matter that much. Where did you get it from, I want one but don't want to pay the silly price from a Seat Stealer?

Otherwise then come up second hand but you will still be paying 50 quid for what is a bit of plastic. I may keep hold of my orignal and when i come to sell the car i can then put the orignal back and sell the pd160.

The gap's supposed to be their IIRC. I wouldn't worry about it. Think some people have closed it off but I've not bothered.

I got mine off rougemont about a year ago - he used to be able to get them pretty cheap. It might be worth dropping him a PM to find out.
