Bought a 1 year old Mk2 Octavia TDI in February. Very please with it other than having to key-lock the central locking as opposed to using a 'plip'. ( Amazing how we take these things for granted now!). Is there any way that central locking with a radio controlled 'plip' can be added??

My Octavia is the base model. I remember in 2000 that my son's new Fabia had only a key with a light in it, but he had a Skoda alarm system fitted by the dealers before delivery, and the doors then were opened and closed by the remote, and not the key. Son recons that my Octavia should be wired for a remote so any information and possible prices would be a great help.

Son also passed me his 10 pin/USB diagnostic lead and suggested downloading a Skoda Diagnostic programme. Reluctant to mess with this, particularly when I cannot even find the Diagnostic Socket, and the car is still under warranty!! :confused: Any info. on this point also appreciated.
