Alex,

as far as I know it's not ready yet......will keep everyone updated but it should be soon.

IIRC ChrisR dropped his car off at ProAlloy on the 18th and it should be coming back sometime this week. Then it's off to Jabba for a "play". ;)

Cheers.

thanks very much for the info,am looking to do it i have to admit.

not sure what route i'm going to take but could do with some info/pictures of the pipe routing from intercooler to turbo and inlet manifold.

only ask as have a friend who is an exceptional welder(from my aircraft engineering background)who can weld alloy tubing etc and he has offered to fabricate any piping and brackets i might need.

i'd source a intercooler seperately, this route will keep my costs down to my own time and a few pints for my friend!!!

so anyone who can help with pictures etc either PM me and i'll send you my email address or just post here for everyones information

many thanks

you have PM

FMIC is being fabricated as we speak. Should be picking car up and taking to Jabba on Saturday.

Will keep people posted.

Off to pickup the Octy VRS tomorrow with the new FMIC manufactured by Pro Alloy under Jabbas instructions. Unfortunately not going to be able to get to Jabba until next saturday for tests. However I have been informed that there is no lag and the highest temp seen in testing is 40 degrees........sounds like a huge improvement. If I have also got the piccy thingy working they should be attached!

2128.attach

2129.attach

Another couple of pics showing comparison of old against new and the parts in the kit. Forgot to say last time that no cutting of the bumper is required just 2 holes to be drilled :)

2130.attach

2131.attach

Will it fit/be adaptable for a TDi?

That's interesting - it doesn't look anything like the prototype did! Guess they did quite a bit more dev work on it since i saw it

They certainly did. Wayne was not happy with the airflow so after nearly having completed the design they stopped and produced what you have now seen. I have now driven the car for 200 miles and even without Jabba doing their re-map the increase in torque is very noticeable. Also no increase in lag and the finished install is extremely smart and discreet.

Will be interesting to see what the rolling road has to say. The other point to take a note of is that from a cooling point of view the addition of this radiator has not affected the temp reading of the OCty engine. Still rock steady at 90 degrees even when sitting in traffic this morning for 1.5 hours!

got to be the neatest installation i've seen so far... hats off to them !

wonder what forge's unit will look like !?

looks wicked, how much does it cost?

We have our FMIC in stock, Fitted price
