Been quoted £401 inc vat for a stage one revo remap.They say installation takes an hour. The price does not include a power run. Which i assume a power run means putting it on the RR? if i want a power run its an extra £40

another dealer quoted me £390 inc vat. install takes 2 hours. but this is superchip which i've heard are very good

P torque can chip my car for £265 inc vat.

next question anyone used pragmatic ict, jkm or goddard? they are revo dealers.

At the moment we are doing custom remaps at £299 inclusive of VAT if that is any good for you?

newskoda - I'll offer some advice if I may - don't buy a "chip" (or more correctly a remap) based on price or installation time.

Spend some time on here. Read the reviews. Read about problems. Read about good experiences. Read about after sales service? Decide whether location is important to you. Get to a meet or two. Look at rolling road day results - or even attend one. Maybe try a test drive or passenger drive. Talk to other members. Look on other forums.

Then the hardest bit is deciding who talks sense and who talks rubbish because you will get a lot of conflicting opinions. You can only do that by hanging around for a while, and getting to "know" who's who on here.

Only after all that should you choose a remap.

Plus I reckon anyone that says they can remap without putting it on a RR is not worth using imo.

My Golf had an APR map from Awesome - Id shop there again!

Long term a custom remap is best way to go. Costs a bit more but will make the engine sound smoother, more mpg, more bhp and no spikey torque, all final tests on the rolling road. All the usual tuners will do this for you. The good uns contribute on Briskoda.
