clio sport 200

Featured Replies

I had to meet the dealer market manager today at my local Renault showroom. They had just taken delivery of the new Clio sport200 in yellow. It is gorgeous:drool:

I had a really good look around it. It took your eye as soon as you walk into the showroom.

The only thing I wasn't sure about was the front, but the rest made me melt:D

There's an article about in on Piston Heads. Gets my vote.

Interesting reading the fact the Cup kits are mainly for us Brits as the french always prefer a softer setup. So the new 200 comes with softer dampers. So if you buy one opt for the Cup Pack :D

I bought a brand new 55 plate Clio Renaultsport 182 in 2005. Unfortunately I only owned it for a few months as I ran into financial difficulty. I sold the car and almost immediately afterwards my finances sorted themselves and I need not have got rid of the car. I lost about £3k in 3 months!

Back on point though I loved every minute of it. It was a magical car. Handled superbly and pulled strongly throughout the rev range. So easy to drive compared to the Octavia. The octy doesn't have particularly bad turbo lag but you cannot compare a naturally aspirated engine to a turbo charged engine with similar power for ease of use.

If the new 200 has improved on the 182 platform then it should be something special.

If I had a spare £14k this is what I'd buy. I am going to wait and see what prices do in the next year. Downside is high emissions and economy but don't do many miles. Gets rave reviews in press and good value so I wonder why I don't see more???

I owned a Clio172 before the Octavia & I really do miss it:weeping: I have to agree with the above quote:thumbup: My wife Is expecting our 2nd child in 8weeks, which stops me from buying another.

The wifes got a 2004 182 FF with both cup kits. What a car :D

Camblet/aux belt isn't cheap though.
