  1. If you want your build sheet you can get one here https://www.coverdalecarparts.co.uk/product-page/vehicle-build-sheets
  2. How long have you had the car because you do have consumer rights but they are dependant on timeframes. I bought a MkIII Superb from Meaden's last year which was faulty from the get go. I allowed them one opportunity to repair it, that failed. Meaden's tried to fob me off that it would be okay to simply drive the car with the EML on even though there was no timeframe for the fault to be resolved. Meaden's persistently refused to collect the car until I advised I would be taking legal action and then they collected it within days. I doubt I would ever buy a car from them again following my experience.
  3. One point to consider is that once you map you will undoubtedly invalidate any dealer warranty you will have been provided with. Hope your experience goes well, I thoroughly enjoyed the Stage 1 and DSG tune in my MkII Superb.
  4. Oddly enough I found the same issue with the horn the other day when the temperature was below freezing. Shortly afterwards it was all working again. I know the ACC can be fickle with cold weather, it’s often mentioned on the forums but the horn was a new one to me. Be interested to see if others find they have this ‘quirk’.
  5. I did this to my MkII and had to call a locksmith. The locksmith picked the lock and commended the security of the Superb. I now have 3 keys to my MkIII
  6. Is the dealer doing this work the dealer you purchased the vehicle from? If so I would ask to speak to the Dealer Principal. The silica bag issue is well known, and well documented. The risk of a considerable financial bill due to the bag splitting is practically a given. To the best of my knowledge Skoda now no longer fit this bag in new vehicles because of the damage being caused. If the dealer has sold you the car with the bag still in situ I would suggest they need to acknowledge some degree of responsibility. If you get push back from the dealer I would take the matter up with Skoda U.K. Customer Services. If there is still no joy I would consider seeking legal advice via any legal helpline you have with your car or home insurance. The dealer should deal with this as a warranty issue and should they state they won't I would ask for those reasons to be given in writing. At the very least they should make a gesture of goodwill by accepting a significant part of the costs. Good luck!!
  7. As others have said you will not get any other third party application displaying there, this is for Skoda navigation only, the third party applications display on the main infotainment screen.
  8. Refurbish them and then get them powder coated to whatever colour you wish, far more resilient than diamond cut wheels. I know, I refurbished my diamond cut and they never lasted and wish that I just went to the powder coat which was cheaper.
  9. I have a 2020 MkIII hatchback with panoramic sunroof. On driving it back from the dealers it was the normal limo like drive on the motorway but as soon as I got it on A, B or unclassified roads there were so many creaks it was like I was sailing in a wooden sail ship. I isolated them to the headlining but in the meantime the sun blind failed. The dealer packed it with foam saying they had had another Superb with a similar problem. Shortly afterwards I had panoramic sunroof surround crack, what appears to be a common fault. The long and short of this is that Skoda have accepted responsibility to replace the panoramic sunroof surround, sun roof and the blind. Currently only the sunroof surround and blind changed as glass sunroof is on back order. The good news is that the creaks have pretty much all been eliminated. I had a MkII Superb estate and it was bliss to drive - solid and noise free. Cannot fault the build quality of mine bar the bumper clip on the R/O/S. Hope you get all your noises sorted as I feel your pain but once done you’ll no doubt be driving around with a massive smile again.
  10. In relation to the AdBlue have you turned the ignition on and left it for 30 seconds before but starting the engine? If not try that and then it should register you have topped it up. It took the next time I turned the engine on for the light to go out.
  11. The thing that would provide the clarity of this issue would be what is the fault code that has been stored which causes your EML to illuminate. Ring Meadens or your local independent and ask them and then post it here, without it then it’s pure guesswork. I am pretty confident that one of the fault codes will be Engine - SCR NOX Catalyst Efficiency below Threshold P20EE00. Want to manage your expectations and say if it’s the above fault then the only sure fire way of removing the light is doing a DPR delete.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion but they won't do KESSY but will supply older keys.
  13. I am collecting a new to me MkIII Superb next week from a Skoda dealer and was told that it comes with 2 keys as the third key is an option when ordering the car at the build stage - at that point it is 35 quid. I asked how much to get a third key made and....wait for it.....sit down....450 quid. If I hadn't been sitting down I would have fallen over. I know people will say two keys are enough but for practicality I would prefer a third and has anyone one had a key made and coded for less than that? I know I could trawl Google but I am hoping some kind and knowledgable person might have prior knowledge. TIA.
  14. I didn’t have any intention of selling the vehicle. However, I was concerned that the dealerships initial response was basically just drive it with the EML on and don’t worry which is all well and good but if another fault happens you won’t know as the EML is already on. Furthermore when it comes to the MOT it won’t pass. Thankfully I was within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle and so could reject it but Skoda only did this because I had the law on my side otherwise it would have been tough luck.
