Hi guys, just wanted to know if the physical aspects of the Octavia mirror are the same as the fabia? I've been looking for some mirror covers, but they hardly seem to have any for the fabia. I've found quite a few for the octavia though! Comparing the pictures they look pretty similar, but I'm not to sure!

Yes I got a replacement octavia mirror for my fabia.

However its only the plastic casing thats the same so the whole mirror has to be stripped down. The fixing and everything else is different.

From people that have done it,

how hard is it to transplant the electronics from one mirror to another?

There is a Fabia in a scrappy near me with manual mirrors, mine has snapped off the baseplate, but the painted cover, mirror glass are intact, and the electronic work absolutely fine.

Is it possible to move them over?

Because it would save me forking out £70 on a new mirror when it actually works perfectly, side from some snazzy duct tape holding it onto the swivel point
