Eccentric rotation sensor error

Featured Replies

Hi All,

A friend of me has a 2005 DSG Octavia 1.9 TDI and he is facing with a problem which we couldnt solve yet.

Any idea is appreciated. Please see below details.

Many thanks.

Eccentric rotation sensor gives error.

Problem I live = Late Engine startups and smoke from exhaust.

What I have done to fix till today:

Warmup bougie replaced.

Air, diesel – fuel filters replaced.

Starting motor replaced.

Eccentric shaft rotation sensor replaced.

The tambour that sensor works with replaced.

Timing of eccentric shaft rotation checked.

It is possible to clear out the error message when the vehicle is not working. But error message comes back when you start the engine.

Problem Solved.

It was one of the data cables to the sensor damaged. Replaced it and all work fine now.
