Puncture repaired tyre.

Featured Replies

As the title says, Ive just spotted in one of my tyres that it has been puncture repaired. It is slap bang in the middle of the tyre. What I need to know, is there any speed restrictions after a tyre has been repaired?

Not that I know of. In the middle is probably on e of the better places for the hole too as the repair will be easier.

I assume you can see the little piece of rubber sticking up through the tyre. As long as it has been done proberly it will be as good as new.

agreed, you only want to worry if the repair is near the edge

Most places wont repair within 30mm of the tread edge that's in contact with the road, and I'd always replace a tyre if holed in this area.

Had loads repaired, and not had any issues. £5 is much better than £100

Had a puncture fixed, and can say its holding up wel, even at speed ;)
