Faulty Brake light switch... point me in the right direction

Bit of a head-ache... cars up on pistonheads and the glowplug light is flashing... also the brake lights are not working... thus leading me to believe its a faulty brake light switch at fault???

also the cruise control aint kicking in (guessing this is brake light switch related) ??

also anyone got a guide for changing over the switch... price and possibly a part number

ye its the brake pedal switch, common fault happened to my g/f 9n polo the other day repaced the switch and all was fine, was a few pence off £8

Mine last one lasted about 6 months lol

yikes... well i bought the car on 37k... now on 67k

Had similar problems when I owned a Bora a while back - needed a new brake light switch on 2 occasions. VW stealer supplied & fitted it for £25.
