VRS clicking noise when braking

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if you could help. Most times when I brake I hear a clicking/clonking noise from the rear of the car (I think). This is coupled with squeaking brakes with little pressure and a grinding noise when more pressure it applied.

Could the clonking noise be a loose caliper?

Could the squeaking/grinding noise be a warped disc. Thought it would have been pads, but i've checked these and they seem to have plenty left (although only looked at the outer ones, but surely they will wear similarly)?

thanks

Not if something is sticking.

Could the noise be something like a bit of grit stuck stuck between the disk and a pad?
