One for the vRS buffs

Featured Replies

Haven't found a definitive answer to this interior styling question, so I'm hoping someone here can enlighten me.

The 2009-build vRS (pre-exterior-facelift) had some new interior design features such as the "smiley face" steering wheel and the Bolero radio.

According to the brochure (for April-to-July 2009) the vRS steering wheel also had multi-function controls for the radio and DSG paddle shifters as standard. Did any of these MFSW-equipped cars actually make it over to the UK?

Cheers,

Bill.

RSIT has one on here but as far as I know this was always an optional extra where you get MFSW, bluetooth, paddles and maxidot in one package (I may be wrong though)

RSIT,

Any idea what month your car was built?

The 2009 brochure for Jan-March states that a "3-spoke leather sports steering wheel" is standard. It also states that the Bolero radio is standard.

In the brochure for April-June 2009 the wording in the standard equipment description is changed specifically to 3-spoke MFSW with DSG paddles.

So, I'm guessing there are actually some of these around in England too (but probably quite rare on the pre-facelift vRS).

Cheers,

Bill.

Hi my car was ordered Nov-Dec 08 delivered into dealer mid jan 09.All you mention came as standard on my order even the 18inch Zenith wheels.but then again it did cost 34,000 euros that's the least they could have done.
