I tried lifting the hook to allow the air conditioned air into the jumbo box today for the first time, and it just kept falling down within seconds. Does anyone else's do this, and if so how did they fix it, either under warranty or not, and does anyone know what is supposed to keep it from slipping back down in the first place?

Mine stays in the position its left in, the storage area is quiet handy for a couple of cans when we drive down to southern spain for our hols.

The slider usually has a degree of resistance to hold it in place. Yours is a duff'un by the sound of it.

I'd try wedging something like a piece of old credit card between the slider and the side of the box. I would think that would hold it up in the desired position. Or a bit of Bluetak perhaps?

To be honest, the car's only 6 months old so i'll get it done under warranty.

Does anyone know if you can just 'pop' the slider bit out as opposed to changing the entire jumbo box? Seems a bit needless if I can just change that little bit of plastic to fix it?
