Had a good day detailing the vRS

Featured Replies

After watching Jenson romp away with victory, and Lewis continue to grace the blunt end of the grid today, I felt all car inspired, and ignored a totally beautiful day to go out on the bike.

Pics taken with my Sony A200 DSLR, 18-70 lens, on Auto, as I can't figure the damn thing out!

The results are thus.....

Started as shown....

Using...

Rinsed with power washer, then washed using 2BM, rinsing after each panel. Dried with a fluffy Meg towel and Megs Last touch.

Then clayed using Last Touch as a lube (oooer), wheels given a good go over the Megs APC, then three layers of FK1000p to seal them. Shines up right good.

My next door neighbour did the tyres with some fancy gel stuff I didnt catch the name of.

The missus hoovered the inside and made a crackin chicken korma for dinner while I did the whole care with a layer of AG Super Resin Polish, which worked wonders on the small swirls, but really needs another few layers.

Used Rain repellant on all windows, and cleaned down all plastics with Last Touch.

First decent go over since I put the 17"s and flaps on, and I'm workin on her to let me get it lowered 30mm or so.....

I really enjoyed this today, although it took far longer than it should have. The mid afternoon sun was burning off the Last Touch quicker then I could clay, and the polish dried rather too quickly, but we don't get that many good days up here, so had to take advantage.

Kev.
