Well - after a thorough check of my MAP sensor wiring today - found a busted wire. I did wonder why vagcom was persisently coming up with the open/short fault code! :thumbdwn:

Anyway - As a temp job I got all the solder off, cut about an inch off each part of the shroud (not oem wiring, some "added in" ) and did a twist job to join it, and sealed up with some duck tape I had in the car. Fault codes cleared, job's a good'un!

Got BOOOOOOOST back!

A temp job? surely it should be good for years.

It felt solid enough for me not to worry about it. Although I think I will replace the duck tape long term.
