handle just come off glovebox. second time this

as happened first time done under warrantee.

now down to me .

does anyone have an idea on cost?

'flaming glovebox handle' surely that should be a factory recall.

sourced a secondhand glovebox off fleabay

gonna have a go at fitting ,doe's anyone know

what the

safety precautions are on working on airbag system.

Hi John,

Changing the glovebox is pretty straight forward. You will be fine with the airbag system so long as the ignition is turned off.....but it wouldnt hurt to disconnect the battery. If you dont disconnect the battery; once you have un plugged the airbag switch do not turn the ignition on until you have finished the swap over otherwise you will get an airbag fault light come on.

anyone trying similar.

found out the safety precaution is

disconnecting battery then leaving

for one minute before starting work.

after connecting battery back you have to

reset clock ,radio and sometimes the

electric windows because they forget where they are.
