which wheels

Featured Replies

Front one, the back one looks horrid (IMO)

Audi won't be so happy... lol!

Between the two, I'd go for the front but what about looking for a used set of Zenith 18"?

Somebody once posted a link for lightest wheels (good looking and effective in reducing rotational inertia and mass) and bahn suggested following:

If you want to get lighter wheel, say < 10Kg for 18", you need to look at:

- Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1.2 (9Kg.),

- OZ Superleggera,

- OZ Ultraleggera

- MAK XLR

all available in 5 x 112 PCD.

Yes and they've been called horrid :D, or did I misunderstand?

you've certainly got horrid right! i thought they were some cheap aftermarket job, cant recall seeeing them on an audi before, maybe there that horrid I subconsciously blanked them out :D

A friend of mine has them on his brand new A3 2.0CR , can't remember the version.

Farmer,

How about a nice set of gunmetal 18" Zeniths???? just an idea!

I'm sure they are lovely but I bet they are more than £500 with top grade tyres ;)

Thanks but I've already got two sets at the moment and am hoping to change the car anyway in the new year . Also I already have 2 very light cars (sounds flash but they are not super valuable) so this one needs to be the family all weather all purpose car. I like and care for my Skoda but it's not the one I'm in love with :D

also when choosing wheels especialy on a modern front driver try to get as close as possible to OEM offset not just bolt on anything with the correct PCD it's critical for steering geometry . I once bought some TSW evos for a Nissan Primera gt and had to take them back the next day as the car was lethal with just a 10mm wrong offset, replaced them with Speedlines and the steering was then returned to it's former glory

Fronts are better of the two, but don't like either too much - fronts look like Audi A3 wheels :)

:iagree:

Fronts. The chunky design suits the octavia. The rears are too 'flowery' for the octy IMO.

Ah, ok - you didn't actually say that though, so from an Octavia driver on a Skoda forum I thought that was a bloody good spot :P
