Cleaning The Narrow Bit Between The Front Seats And The Doors

Featured Replies

The narrow bit on the floor between the seats and the door pockets are a right pain to get clean, anyone got any tips to clean this part of the car up.

If you have the time, take out the front seats which is what i do when i clean my seats and you can give it a good hoover and clean at the same time.I started doing it when i saw all the dirt that builds up aswell.I do this twice a year.I hope this helps.

Do you need special tools to do this.

I just got a 8mm allen key,cut about 2" off it and put it into a 8mm socket along with the extension bit for the ratchet.A tip for you, put a bit of blue tack in the socket bit to hold the bit of allen key, stops it from falling out.

easiest way i found was to use a very thin paint brush from b&q - about 99p and works a treat!

 The brush would be a lot less hassle :D

just take the seats out, gives you a lot more space to do a better cleaning job on both the inside of the car and on the seats

thanks i always wanted to know a way to do it, but i might stick with the brush as in my experiences when taking things out is easier than putting it back in.
