Are either of these lower strut braces worth the extra money?

i.e. are they twice or three times better than the S3 (8N0 199 403 B) one?

They look like they bolt on to a different part of the car, does that make a difference?

£175 one:

Awesome > Neuspeed Lower Strut Brace Billet Mk4 Golf etc

£114 one:

Awesome > Neuspeed Lower Strut Brace Polished Mk4 Golf etc

Any ideas?

Just fit the S3 one, does exactly the same job.

Well, I did wonder.

The S3 one does look like an old chair leg though. Is the difference just cosmetic, show car stuff.

Totally agree, i bought and fitted S3 upper and lower ones.

Lower cost £25:56 (incl vat) Nov 2008.

Upper was £52.57 (incl vat) Nov 2008.

They are well made and do exactly the same job ,.

I agree, and if fitted with the S3 top strut brace, does make a difference, oh, and a lot cheaper than the Neuspeed ones.

Saying that, the Neuspeed 28mm rear arb totally transforms the handling of the car. Worth every penny.
