Hi Folks. A good friend of mine(ex mechanic) is going to service my 07octy 1.9tdi 45k in the next few days. This car has been remapped up to approx 135-140hp about 5 months ago, no problems, running like a train. The question is, What oil do I put into the car?

Synthetic or Semi-Synthetic. He seems to think that I need fully synthetic(to cope with extra power now) but having read previous posts i'm not sure. Would fully synthetic oil damage the engine? Or will the standard VW507.0 do the trick?

Help would be welcome.

Dont quote me on this, but i am sure that VW 507 is fully synthetic, it wants to be for the price of it!

I'd give it the best oil you can and yes, VW507 oils are fully synthetic.

Is there any reasons why the Comma / Halfords 504/507 oil hasnt been added to the list?
