Part number or source for a key.

Featured Replies

I have booked in the guy from Safe n Sound to come down to my work and fit a Toad Ai606 with Dual Microwave, tilt, total closure and remote start.

Because it has remote start and a built in dual circuit immobiliser I can put the immobiliser chip thing from my key inside the dash and rely on the Toad immobiliser.

That means I can (and would like to) use smaller, non-flip, non-button keys for the car.

I like this one on e-bay:

VW VOLKSWAGEN,SEAT, SKODA CARS 1 BUTTON TORCH KEY FOB on eBay, also, Volkswagen, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 02-Jun-09 21:23:45 BST)

Does anyone know where I can get a blank key like this or what part number I would need to order one?

Alternatively can anyone think of a blade type key with no buttons and a round handle?

Thanks everyone...

I found this website:

http://www.vwkey.com/

Fifth from the bottom he has a plain metal blade-type key with a VW emblem on it, I have e-mailed him and if that key will work I think a couple of Skoda round badges over the VW emblem and I'll be away.

Nice, high speed - low drag setup.

The guy has already got back to me, he told me it would fit and then said that although he can cut the keys for me it would be cheaper to get it done myself. Stiffed himself out of money whilst doing good customer service - I like it.

Seems like a good guy.
