Anyone have experience with one of these? One may be considered, for light mid-week washing where water/power connections aren't always accessible

Think they're quite popular on the bike scene; indeed the best buys on the popular ones appear to be from the larger bike stores.

Mobi and Nomad seem to be the two main contenders.

If you can wash a car in six minutes (quoted capacity divided by flow rate) using just 13 litres of water (1.5 gallons so about three quarters of a wash bucket) with that I'll be impressed!

Usually takes me significantly longer using significantly more water...

Mobi is 15 litres. Clearly this would only be used to wet the car down and the as a final rinse off after a 2 bucket wash.

I personally think that for a quick mid-week wash, l wouldn't need more than 10 minutes of continuous water flow to blast a car down and then rinse it off?

Also you clearly wouldn't be using this at maximum flow rate for the entire wash as you'd want a different flow rate/pattern for the initial blast over than the final rinse.

This is something I'm looking at as well. I currently rent a flat so having a solution like this is ideal. Problem is do I invest in one now or not bother and wait until after August when I move back to a house..... hmmmmm

ah, I've just noticed the mobi's pressure output goes low enough to use as a dog washer !

Perfect for when Charlie goes storming of into the muddy fields he usually finds on walks.

Right.... get some B5 A4 parts sold on ebay and the mobi is mine.

Yep, check the first YouTube link - nice example of using the Mobi as a Charlie washer!

According to a few reviews l've read the dirt worker has a lower flow rate and overall capacity in comparison to the mobi.

I'm a convert !!

Washing my brand new superb with ONR was a bit worrying but i've since used it a few times . I can wash either the Superb or my Skyline with 7 litres of water works really well and leaves a good finish with no marking (one car is Black the other purple so you would certainly see it )

Its great for shows as i attend a few in the Skyline , i just carry 7 litres of water which i fill off the filtered supply in the kitchen and wash the car when i get there , i also use it as a quick detailer pre mixed in a sprayer so i can clean off bird droppings etc

Really is good stuff
