VRS TDI PD long trip feedback

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just to share my satisfaction. Yesterday just travelled about 600Km, with up and downhills from Germany, through Switzerland back home, with a mix of urban driving, country roads and highway. Some stops, a lot of time in the car which was stuffed with 5 person and baggages.

Speed (almost) always within limits and I drove in "turistic" manner (not so common by myself :D )

In the end, trip computer reported 6l/100Km, i.e. around 47 mpg which I think it's really great!

My back thanked rigid seats, I got off without any pain and the boot (estate) enables you to stuff everything without even suggesting car has baggages for 5 people.

With people and baggages I had a natural reduction of the noise coming from rear, AC was great and even Stream did a good work.

A success at about 67K (Km) odometer.

Ciao!

Nice, sounds a good trip. I always feel really comfy in my vRS, and feel I could drive for hours at a time.

Nice Trip! Most i have gotten out of my vRS has been 910 km to a full tank with a mix of motoring, the bulk of being motorway work. Has any one gotten over 1,000km out of a tank of fuel in a TDi RS???
