When i first got my Fabia vRS 12 months ago, i decided to turn the anti hijack feature on, and the alarm horn when locking and locking.

Recently i've decided to turn the alarm horn OFF when i unlock the car, and turn the door unlocking to all doors on single press, but for some reason i'm unable tro communicate with module 46 to change these functions.

I accessed it earlier today in order to read for faults, but when i went into 46 and then went to recode, it stopped working and hasn't worked since.

Anybody else had this problem and know how to resolve it?

What interface lead and software are you using?

I don't think its the lead as its worked flawlessly on every other car, and the conveniance module read ok first time round, but when i went to adapt it stopped working.

Just had an afterthought.... is there a chance it might be down to having an aftemarket stereo fitted?

What exactly (all lines) does VCDS > Options > Test say?

Can't recall from memory, i will post up a log of the scan later and note any messages that pop up.

Have solved the problem.

Aftermarket stereo was conflicting with the scan and preventing the conveniance module from being read and coded. Removed stereo and all is well.
