Another &$%*#*@ Problem!

Featured Replies

As if my Dodgy car could get any worse, well thats what i though. I swear if this is another serious problem I will have it crushed!!! It has done this twice now, If i slow down quite sharply then resume quickly the Engine makes massivley loud metallic knocks, and the REV counter swings wildly from about 1-2k revs, Is the Transmission shifting into the wrong gear. I do know for a fact that the box isn't hard too fool and heavy stop/starts seem to confuse it somewhat? but is that the problem. Also It used to rev to 5500rpm and now it only revs to 5000, Whats wrong with the flaming thing? and if this is anoter electrical fault i swear i will have the bloody thing crushed!!! :( :(

Could the transmission fluid be ready for a change perhaps?

Rob.

Sounds like VW group adaptive auto box problem .

Id have to agree with Rob. 9 out of 10 auto problems are caused by either incorrect fluid level or the oil is getting old (should be changed every 40k iirc).

OK, so there not Fabias, but we have had 5 auto boxes on VW Transporters, on 2 vans. They are the 4 speed electronic adaptive boxes, and each 1 has done weird and strange things. That to me says something about the boxes.

hmmmmm, the car has only done 20k's, And is allways serviced on time e.t.c, wife wrote off her focus a few weeks back just before i told her I was having it (Strange coincidence I think!) and it's being crushed on Friday next week, so she is driving my car too, so for half of the day it's given the Mother Tereasa treatment, then given the hooligan antics for the rest of the day, if it adapts to driving styles could this cause it some sort of confusion?
