My wife's 2001 Fabia has decided to chew up the elecric window cable on the passenger side. I have taken the trim off and had a look, I cant get to the window cables as the window carriers seem to be riveted to the metal plate.

I took the motor off and although the plastic spindle that turns the cable seem okay, the cable itself is a bit chewed up, can the cable be replaced and is it possible for me to do the job myself? Any guides available?
