I have test drove a vrs with maxidot but not one without.

Does one without still have trip computer?

Yes - the standard display trip computer shows everything that maxidot does except the thingummy that you can set to give you a bong if you go over a set speed.

(NB I'm just talking trip computer here - Maxidot allows you to set stuff that the standard doesn't and allows info from ICE and other add-ons to display on the dash)

It has instantaneous mpg, average mpg, miles to refuel, trip distance since reset, outside temp, average speed, drive time since last reset.

There are 2 sets of data:

1. for your current journey that resets itself after engine off for 2hrs (or you can reset yourself)

2. resets after 100hrs driving or 9999 miles; or you can reset yourself
